Wedding Reception Photobooth Preview
This past weekend I had an opportunity to shoot a wedding reception in a photo booth style. Pretty much after the guests greet the bride and groom they 'd make their way over to my booth and take a silly photo! We'd print it out and then have the guests sign the guestbook next to their picture wishing the couple a congratulation.
so much fun. here's a preview!

Tyler and Ali- Engaged
I would get up early anyday to take pictures during sunrise. The color is much more controllable.
However, a photo shoot isn't complete until there is one malfunction. This one was the photographer malfunction. After shooting for about an hour and about 250 pictures, I wanted to "PROTECT" one of the pictures in case I accidentally delete something. However, I stupidly pressed, "FORMAT."
yeah.. sad. So no dawn pictures which was absolutely beautiful.. probably one of the best photos I've taken during that time, but again, I have no proof.. :-(
The couple found an old abandoned car that struck their interest.
We shot downtown Logan for more urban look. (i know.... Logan ≠ Urban)
These next few are my absolute favorites.
and it's hard to end a session without some goofy ones.
Congratulation Tyler and Ali on their engagement. I had a blast shooting this couple. They were fun, creative, considerate, and most of all very forgiving after I informed them of the mishaps that happened to all the early pictures.

CouchSurf Portland
Hello Everyone.
This past weekend I took a change of scenery and decided to CouchSurf in Portland Oregon. We were fortunate to have our lovely hosts Ashley and David to let us stay for the weekend.
I should probably take this time here to explain exactly what this entails. Couch Surfing is a net-based hospitality network, designed to help fellow travelers like myself. Basically, people offer up their couches/air matresses/whatever they have for travelers to sleep on during their trips. and before I knew it, I was wandering the streets of Portland. And that basically explains the weekend.
Here are some of my favorite pictures.. raw and unedited...
A little fascination with yellow cars..
I was lucky to be the "first guy in Oregon" to have played with the brand new, unreleased Sony Alpha-900.
my reaction a few moments after playing with the camera
my favorite of all.
Sammy was this dog's name..
This weekend was pretty much unreal.. I had a huge creative sprout and it really cleared my head. thanks for all involved.
